University student says U.S. flag creates a ‘hostile environment’ on campus
Earlier this year, UC Irvine student government leader Matthew Guevara successfully petitioned his university to have the U.S. flag removed from a student lounge on campus. In a video shared by Glenn’s radio co-hosts, Pat and Stu this morning, Guevara claimed the U.S. flag in the lounge made students feel “uncomfortable and unsafe.” “It was creating a very hostile environment, just because of this flag being up,” Guevara said. “It doesn’t make people feel welcomed at all.” Needless to say, Pat and Stu couldn’t take the ignorance and faux outrage from a student complaining about how evil and oppressive this country is while benefiting from federal aid at an American university.
